Sound like you over heated the the rotors and now there are worpped ..
You need to replace at least all parts in the fronts rotors pads and the calipers do the whole thing .
These parts are so cheap now a days their made in china . WE ARE TALKING 50 DOLLARS A SIDE FOR PARTS

Check the rear shoes for signs of brake chatter, it will leave lines or marks ACROSS the shoes or drum

Does the fifth wheel trailer have a braking system, and if so, is it working properly? Fifth wheel trailers can be very heavy and overload stock brake systems. If you're doing all you can from the trailer side, then trying drilled or slotted rotors with heavy-duty ceramic pads is the next try. Stock vented rotors will warp until high heat and that's what brings on the vibration. Drilled and slotted rotors provide more air cooling to the disc and, while it may seem that less rotor surface would result is less stopping power, the cooler the brakes stay the more efficient the brakes are. Cooked brakes won't stop anything.

Severe wheel wobble when braking on steep decents

It is not wheel wobble but vibration from the front brakes. The front brake rotors have worn unevenly (known as disc thickness variation - DTV) and when this occurs you will get vibration from the front rotors as you apply the brakes and it is especially noticeable when braking on down hill runs. DTV is usually caused by poor alignment of the rotors on the hub. In other words sloppy installation procedures.

You will need to replace both the rotors and brake pads on the front and make sure the business that does the work properly checks the rotor for run out.

The Brakes locked when going down a hill

the condition you have experienced is called brake fade . It occurs when there is insufficient brake pad to adsorb the heat generated buy the changing of the kinetics energy (spinning) into heat energy by the friction of the brake pads on the disc rotors.. It gets to a point where the pads and discs will not take any more heat so when that happens it does not matter how hard you push the pedal there will be no brakes. To prevent this happening again fit new brake pads and fit new disc rotors. If you are going to be doing steep hill work then get a brake pad suitable for hard work. Talk to a brake shop specialist to get the best pads for the job. Another experience that you will have is when the brakes get hot the pedal goes to the floor. This comes from bad brake fluid and happens when the brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air and the boiling point of the fluid is lowered considerably. The oil boils and the water in the oil turns to steam and you get vapour lock in the system and you will loose brakes as you are compressing steam or air.. The fix for that is to ensure that you change your brake fluid every 12 months.

Steering wheel shakes at high speed when brakes are applied

This is caused by the front disk brake rotors being warped from heat and running out of true, the wobble of the warped rotors causes the wheel to shake when you apply the brakes, it is worse the higher the speed you apply them at. Have the front rotors machined flat again or just replace them.

1. vehicle vibrates while braking @ speed of 55mph+ 2. automatic window does not operate correctly

Hello: 1. You may have rotors that are not parallel, if you can fell the brake pedal trying to move up and down while you have the vibration then you need to get the rotors turned and also check the front pads while its apart. If the brake pedal is not moving when you have the vibration or the steering wheel is not shaking then it could be the back rotors (if you have 4 wheel disc brakes). If its the driver window that does not go down automatically you may have a bad switch.

checked out replace pads /and cut rotors if pads are glazed over [film u were told ] the pads are smoothed over from getting to hot -riding brake or stop and go traffic lot of down hill braking which ever was the cause ur brakes got over heated and glazed over and are very smooth also the heat transferred to the rotors also warped them when u get steering shake when braking 90 percent of the time its warpage in rotor and the only way is to have them removed and put on a cutter to check for out of round also abs doesnt cause this abs [anti-lock braking] is designed to transmit a pulse to ur brakes when it senses a wheel is about to lock up or skid u would feel the pulse in ur brake pedal not ur steering

I own a 99 hyundai elantra the car has a very bad grinding/vibration in the frontend the drive axeles were already replaced when i bought the car i checked the wheel bearings they seem to be fine so i...

You should check your wheel bearings again and check the front brakes and rotors. Pay close attention to the inner pads and the rotors. You can get a grinding vibration from hard spots in the rotors or the pads and these are often overlooked as a cause. Everyone goes to bearings or trans first, so it is not you everyone does it I've seen it happen for years. But pay close attention to the brakes, worn, hard spots or heat/burn marks all can cause this to happen.

Changed the front brakes on my 2005 Grand Caravan and now there's clicking and serious vibration at speeds above 40mph. Also, I need to bleed the brakes, b/c the brake pedal doesn't respond normally, and I...

sounds like the pads were either installed wrong or your forgot the have the rotors ground down. grinding down the rotors would have taken out any extra vibration. if the rotors arent ground flat, the pads will cause vibration as they seat against the uneven surface of the rotors. the clicking indicates that the brake calipher was not secured and is hitting the wheel when the brakes are applied. PLEASE Get a Manual from chiltons or haynes for your car they will help you change your pads and rotors more efficently.

My brakes are grinding/vibrating only on the passenger side. only happens between 0-45 mph and quits when i press on the brakes to slow myself. the dust plate is not in the way i blead the lines

The most likely cause for your brakes grinding, especially on one side, would be a warped rotor. As the wheel spins this warped rotor is making contact with the pads. As you apply pressure the pads make full contact with the rotor causing the noise to stop. The pads may also be bad. Too much heat will cause the rotor to warp. Your best bet would be to replace both the pads and the rotor as either of them can be causing the problem. I do NOT recommend changing just one side of your brakes as this causes uneven braking and is ultimately dangerous.
