I would check local junkyards in your area. car-part.com is awesome at finding compatible equipment, or you could just call your favorite local auto parts recycler. If you go and pull the seat yourself, you will save yourself a ton of money.Bring tools
well you are going to have to get underneath it and either release the locked up adjustment slider parts or unbolt the whole thing from the car. In any event I would pull it out, disassemble and clean the adjuster parts coat them with chain lube and reassemble. if it is a power seat then your best bet is to remove it and toss it; then go find a compatible manual jeep seat in a junk yard and bolt it down into the same mounting holes.
LOOK LIKE ALL JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE FROM 1995 TO 2001 HAS THE SAME TRANSMISSION.BUT HAS DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULES.SO I WOULD BUY EXACT YEAR MODEL VECHICLE TRANSMISSION.LOOK FOR NO SUBSTITUTES.
What you have to do is replace the whole motor assembly to actually fix the problem and its about $300+ dollars, it happened to me and I had Jeep at least send the seat to an appropriate place so that I could still drive it.
hi this could be down to bad conetion on the wireing , check all conections , clean them down , if that doesnt work then its in the electris somewere . you need to trace it ,
your seat has 3 motors in it.if you hear themotor energize then you probably got a dime stuck in the track.lol. if not the check the seat relay or chech for power to the driver seat
This is simply a reminder to change the oil. You can reset it easily.
With the engine turned on and someone in the driver seat. Hit the step button until 0 miles to service appear, hit RESET. A beep will sound and it is done.
You may have to hold reset for a bit, varies from year to year and I forget if you do on 2000.
