Is this the one on the passenger side fenderwell? If so, you need a floorjack and a 2X4 to just raise the engine up enough to take the weight off the mount. Then remove the fasteners and change the mount
If its the lower mount on the engine cradle, It is a tough one to change on your back as the whole car has to be raised and then jack the engine up to remove the fasteners, and it isn't safe to do so with a floor jack raised to it's limits.

Shakes ONLY under acceleration? Goes away when you back off of the throttle? Are you sure?
Please inspect the front and both side engine mounts. The half shafts will cause that sort of a shake(whole car) when they go bad(inboard CV joints).
Aggravated OR caused my a motor mount that has shifted to one side, binding the half shaft.
Common in Chrysler mini vans!!!!!!That is why the front motor mount is adjustable.
Check the engine mount on the short half side first.

Car shakes on front driver side after 70mph

Hey,, The problem may not be relate to the wheels at all. Fro what your telling me it sounds like a broken engine mount. This will cause the problem. Basically the engine mount hols the engine to the vehicle and the rubber in it dampens the vibrations. With the rubber broken you will feel the vibrations on the pedal..

However to mention the can be another reason, This one is very unlikely here seeing as the pedal vibrates but just in case check your Alignment and Cambering.

basically take the vehicle to a mechanic to locate and replace the engine mount , ore than likely is the rear mount or the one closest to the driver. You can do this yourself if you like,

1.) Locate the broken Mount (you will see the rubber in the mount broken)
2.) Use a Car jack (the ones you use the change tires) , and use it to lift the engine up to reduce the pressure on the mount.

3.) remove the broken mount and replace it.

Its just 4 bolts, 2 on the engine 2 on the mount to the car body. You will need to get a torque wrench and a lever (cast iron metal pipe will work fine) to add extra leverage to turn the bolts off.

Smoke is coming from my oil dipstick and my engine has a bad shake to it when I start it up. What's can I do to fix this??? I have a 2006 Chevy monte 3500 v6 engine

Sounds like the engine is worn and maybe has loose or broken engine mountings. Also could be the timing is out so it's running unevenly.

Motor mount problem we did change for new still shaking someone can help we that. Was the one in the front.

If you've replaced a worn motor mount and the engine still shakes, you may have another that needs to be replaced. If you changed all of them, then the problem isn't the motor mounts but the motor itself. Something is causing it to shake more than the mounts can handle and you need to have it checked out by a mechanic.

Good luck!

My car engine is shaking

is it shaking due to rough running ? you may need a tuneup if not you may have a broken motor mount, with the hood open and the front and back of the vehicle is clear (not ruining anything over) stand to one side of the vehicle, observe the engine and have a helper with there foot firmly on the brake put it into reverse and apply the gas gently, then put it into drive and repeat the engine should move very little if it moves considerably replace the motor mount

Can missing motor mount cause oil pressure problems? My oil pressure light keeps flickering and I just got the oil changed, the spark plugs and wires changed and pcv changed. I found the engine mount...

If your engine is free to move around, your engine may be losing rotational force to engine twist. Technically, when there is a sudden loss of rotational power in the engine rotating assembly, this could cause the oil pump to stop rotating for a split second. however, there are many more reasons that you need to get the mont replaced anyway.

1994 Nissan Altima shakes while idling

Broken or worn out engine mounts will cause allot of engine vibration in drive at idle, reverse also, change all 4 the mounts, not just the 2 broken ones. As far as slow acceleration no mounts will not cause that, Have you reached the 100,000 mile recommended tune up? have you ever replaced the fuel filter, this is required every 30,000, let me know.

I need help badly.

Good Day,

The shaking can be caused by a bad motor mount, but could also be caused from the engine when it is idle'ing low and about to stall. The motor mount would also shake the car under braking, so if is doesn't shake whiIe your braking it's probably not motor mount, Is your check engine light? The idle air is another possibilty among other things. I can assist further but I need to know which engine you have the 4 cyl 2.0L or 6.0 cyl 2.5L?

Let me know about the check engine light aswell.

Hope this helps
