SOURCE: nissan altima 2002 burning excesive oil what to

You have to identify where the oil is leaking. Check the spark plugs if it has oil, you may just need to replace the oil seal in the plugs. If you meant actual burning from the exhaust, you may want to check the head gasket and the piston rings if the oil seeps into the combustion chamber.

0il light comes on when car is in idle..2005 nissan altima

If the oil level is low, or the oil pump is worn out, this can happen. It indicates a dropping of oil pressure either due to oil moving forward away from the sump (low oil), or reduction of pressure due to lower rpms (worn out pump).

I cant find the oil pump on a 2006 Nissan Altima

On both the four cylinder and six cylinder engines the oil pump runs off the crank shaft. The front cover and timing chain needs to removed in order to replace or repair the oil pump. It is not a very common repair. Is there a reason you are looking for it?

Blowing oil on the right side of the motor on a 1997 nissan altima

you have a front cover o-ring leak. its a small o-ring behind the front cover that is causing your oil leak. the o-ring is like 5dollar part, but it takes like 6 hours to replace it and its not a job for someone who doesnt work on cars or has mechanical knowhow and tools needed to complete replacement.

1996 nissan altima running hot changed thermostat new radiator you can drive it an hour before it runs hot

check the operation of the fans, since the radiator was recently replaced, it is posible they may not be plugged in correctly or operating like they should, if they look good, look into the water pump, with the work that u already did the only this left to look at after the water pump is the intake or head gasket, any water in oil or vice versa? look into that if all else fails....

Oil not circulating ? 1999 Nissan Altima DOHC, KA24DE, 200315 miles The right side guide rail to the lower timing chain shattered and jammed the oil pump. I have replaced the oil pump and both timing chain...

Well, from the oil pump it goes into your oil filter so the lines going from the pump into the filter could be clogged. check that and see. Also on most imports I have found that they have to be primed after the oil pump has been replaced. Buy a oil pressure gauge and hook it up. Disconnect your fuel and spark delivery and then just crank over your motor to make sure you have good pressure. It takes up to 30 seconds to build on some cars. hope that helps.
