2002 town and country horn jumper harness on back of air bag has broken wires.why cant you buy the jumper harness. per dodge you have buy a 700.00 air bag to make the horn work.any info would help .. thanks .. send to e-mail [email protected]

Pushing the horn button on the steering wheel doesn't sound the horns , is that what your saying ? Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? Could be the clock spring ,located in the steering column .Would need to pull the steering wheel . Or could be the integrated power module , Chrysler , jeep , Dodge vehicles have known problems with these modules , all kind of electrical problems .

Highly suspicious the problem is in your horn button.
And that might be on your steering wheel.
And that is where your Air Bag is. And that might mean you have air bag/horn button problems !!!!
Check with some good junk yards or body shops and see if you can find out how to change the horn button/air bag.
I just learned how 2 weeks ago, and it was really easy.
In my town, good used airbag/horn buttons go for $ 25.

You'll have to take it back apart and find out what is shorting out the switch, or applying pressure to the switch without pushing on the bag cover.

YOU NEED AIR BAG CODE SCANNER TO RESET LIGHT/HORN CHECK HORN RELAY /FUSES/WIRING/HORNS CONTACKS IN STEERING WEEL

If you are intending on disconnecting the horn for now, simply unplug the harness at the horn. Just toot the horn and follow your ears.

your horn is connected to the spiral which ibelive is cut just change your spiral check continuity on the wires if the spiral to confirm

wiring harness short of tracing all the wires with a voltmeter......

replace the clock-spring ribbon contact under the steering wheel, that is the problem, u have lost the connection due to a broken ribbon contact.

check for broken wires the neagative is by the horn button in the steering wheel has air bag ever been replaced in steering wheel if so the wire may have not been plugged in
