Checked and found that the fuse no.8 blew, I changed 2 new one, but every time was blew right away when fitted. Recently, the remote does not work except getting very close to the infrared sensor at the driver door. The AM radio not working, the security alarm has no siren after activated. Anybody can share your expert knowledge. Very thankful.

You need expert & diagnostic , as wireing problems / electronics are the hardest thing to fix.

Testimonial: "Thank you very much for your suggestion. I saw some other people in other blogs saying that they just change the fuse and the problem solved, unfortunately it is not on my case. Perhaps I need to bring to dealer to have a diagnostic test. Thanks anyway."

Hi John!
  • There is a short in the Circuit. Do not put any more fuses in it.
  • Take it to the Electric Shop to have it diagnosed.
Good Luck,

I have an 02 civic and the drl fuse blew...so I replaced it and it blew again right away!

The fuse is blowing because there is an electrical problem, probably a short, on that daytime running light circuit. The problem must be found and corrected before a fuse will stay intact. The fuse protects the wiring from getting too hot and starting a fire. So don't be tempted to replace it with a higher amperage rated fuse--you'll just be asking for an electrical fire. Fuses are simply "problem indicators" and one-time electrical power cut off switches. They can't fix problems by being replaced.

The circuit will have to be checked with a volt/ohm meter by some one experienced with trouble-shooting electrical circuits.

04 Chev Epica, will not start, no 4 ways no turn signals, no pwr mirrors, windows or door locks? Checked fuses, possible computer problem?

I had a similar problem recently with my Epica. During extremely cold weather I tried to use the windscreen washers which were frozen. This blew a fuse within the interior fuse box which controls the wipers, indicators etc. This also activated the flashing red security light on the display. The vehicle was still running but when I truned off the engine it refused to start again. Required to change the fuse (which from recollection is the 3rd down on the right - 10amp) before it would work again. Eventually blew again so replaced it with a 15amp fuse and been working fine ever since....
