#Central locking wont work. If I press brake paddle, electrical don't work. #Neutral gear light is flashing #Jerks when I put car in reverse.

I have 2002 Mitsubishi Motero sports LS AWD 3.0 lt. I am facing a weird problem. Please help me out as I am baffled and stressed. Problem: I changed the battery a new one as soon as I changed battery at firestone, battery symbol came on dash board and when I pressed accelerator paddle, i goes off. It is like this and I ignored. All of a sudden after 10 days car not even start. I jump start the car kept running for 10 mins and tried to drive and within 5 mins it died. I also changed the alternator and tested battery and alternator. Still it doesn't charge and battery symbol is on. What worst is...... my electrical's don't work like if I start the car, my stereo and my AC & not even fan doesn't work and it does start working after 1 min. If i try to lower down the power window, stereo and fan stops. If I press brake paddle, stereo wont work . Also, all of a sudden when I changed alternator, the same day a jerk started to come when I shifted the car in reverse. Also, my neutral gear light is flashing in every gear. Please help me out in solving this problem. Too many weird things. I am literally crying here. Please help.

Have you checked all wires? 1. The ground 2. The power wire to starter. 3. Wire feed to both fuse boxes. 4. Main power fuse might be lose sometimes auto shops will pull the main fuse to the car and not push it in all the way. Try the things I told you and let me know if there is any kind of difference. This is a good one

Thanks. It was one big fuse in the fuse box which was blown up and we completely skipped it. Thanks once again

Reset the anti-theft. When they changed the battery, they are supposed to install a memory saving battery in the cig. lighter port so the computer doesn't have these problems.Using your key fob, lock and set the alarm, then press the unlock button twice. Sometimes that works but not on all. If it DOESN'T work, Firestone will have to pay for the dealer to reset the system. Does the car start better? Maybe you have a defective battery with a shorted cell, and the battery doesn't have the voltage for the computer to operate properly and insufficient voltage to allow the alternator to charge, setting off all kinds of low voltage problems

Testimonial: "I understand you point of view but it didnt gave me these electrical troubles for at least 10 days although the battery symbol came isntantly on. Why did electrical went bezeirk all of a sudden after so long? I tested the battery from Advance auto parts, they said battery is fine. What is your take on this now?"

Probable best guess without seeing it is a faulty diode in the alternator. Most all shops can do a diode test and check for proper charging.

I changed the gear box of my 2007 corolla about 5 months ago. Then I noticed the car jerks or kind of pushes forward whenever i change my gear from park/neutral to drive or reverse. Please what do you...

A delay of more than a second in shifting from the neutral to drive or reverse gear, could mean that there is a problem with the transmission. If on changing from a neutral or park position to the drive or reverse gear, the car does not immediately catch the gear and move forward or backward, then it could mean a problem in the transmission. If you change gears, and you hear a sudden clunk or sudden jolt or shudder, then the shifting is not smooth and there could be a problem with the gearbox. If the engine rpm keeps increasing but there is no increase in the speed, then it could be a sign of the transmission slipping. Most automatic transmission systems, nowadays, have a check engine light or an OD light, which flashes if there is a problem with the engine.

2001 montero sport check engine light on..neutral light flashing..doesnt shift right and jerks when you put the shifter in reverse, but does reverse ok, almost feels like it is stuck in 3rd gear..happened...

Your check engine light is on because the computer picked up a problem with the vehicle. Take it to Autozone and they will scan it for free. They will let you know what is wrong and what parts you may need.

Reverse lights on 2003 ford expedition wont work why

On the side of the transmission where the gear shifter attaches is a multi-function switch that controls the ignition switch solenoid (which won't let you take out your key till it's in neutral), the reverse lights and the shifer release solenoid (which won't let you put it in gear until you hit the brakes. It is probably bad. It doesn't cost a lot and it referred to as the Neutral Safety switch.Since it's under the car it takes a lot of abuse and they sometimes just go bad. Make sure when you put on the new one that it's in the same general position as the old one so you won't have sticky shifter syndrome or sticky key syndrome. Good luck.

My gear shift is stuck and will not move from park to reverse. I had backed out the car and turned it off. when I went to move the car, my gear shift will not move out of the park position.

do the brake lights work? the system has a lock out that keeps you from moving out of park unless the brake circuit is activated, hence no brake lights no park lock out release, if the brk lights do work u most have a stuck or defective park lock out solenoid.

I have an '07 suzuki forenza has 30,000 miles on it the check engine light came on and hasnt came off since car jerks when put on drive can anyone help

Take the car in somewhere and see what thew check light code is. If the trans jerks when put in gear, it might be the transmission range switch ( neutral safety switch) See what the code is first and go from there. Any questions after the code reply back to me, Don Suzuki tech

My car wont move out of park and the braks lights arent working.

my ford taurus did this to me too.... your car wont move out of park because it might be the neutral safety switch because your brake light connector piece might have come undone...
now first off the brakes (my switch was above my brake pedal) and just make sure its clipped in and then your neutral safety switch should go of and you can put it into gear.
if you cant find the brake thing to see if its unplugged just turn your key slightly on before all your dash lights come on and put the car into neutral and then start your car and you can put it into gear.
