> I've bypassed the switch

This may ensure that it stays on.
If the switch has failed internally, you may have to clip a wire to disable it.

I cant find a fuse on a VE holden Commodore 2009

The fuse box on a 2009 Holden Commodore VE is typically located in one of two places:

Under the hood: The fuse box is usually located on the driver's side of the vehicle, near the firewall. It is a rectangular box with a black or gray plastic cover. You may need to lift the hood to access the fuse box.

Inside the vehicle: On some models, the fuse box is located on the driver's side, under the dashboard. It is usually located to the left of the steering wheel, near the driver's door.

To find the specific fuse that you are looking for, you will need to consult the owner's manual for your vehicle. This will provide a diagram of the fuse box, as well as a list of the fuses and their functions. The manual should also provide instructions on how to check and replace a fuse if necessary.

If you are having difficulty finding the fuse box or identifying the correct fuse, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional mechanic. They will have the experience and knowledge to help you locate the fuse and make any necessary repairs.

My 2001 Nissan Altima trunk lever will not function can you give

Check fuse #24 = 10amps at the inside vehicle fuse block. That is 1st column and 2nd from below. If power is okay, see if you can access the trunk switch and the trunk actuator at the rear. whichever comes easier for you. . For the trunk switch, simply bypass the two wires and see if the trunk motor works. For the trunk motor, check the connector w Red/blk wire for 12volts and bypass the white wire to ground and see if motor will unlock coming from your manual locking of it.

Ford laser sedan kj lxi 95 model break lights need to be replaced

are both brake lights not working ? if so very unusual for both to go at same time so i'd check the fuse , fuse box lower dash drivers side lid/door will have list , if ok open the trunk and at the rear of the light clusters remove the brake bulbs, there will most likely be some sort of trim, carpet or even a small access panel to remove first,if bulb's are ok then it must be the switch which is located at the top of the brake pedal, easy to adjust disconect the wire from top of switch and turn switch anti clockwise one complete turn , refit wire and check if bulbs working , if not repeat the adjustment

My valet mode in my Cadillac dts will not turn off. It's a 2006. Can't get to my music or my trunk won't open. Please help.

It may be the ALDL fuse in the underhood fuse block, so check that. If OK, it may be the trunk release relay in the fuse block under the rear seat - also check that.
If those are OK, the valet switch in the glove box may have failed in the open position. Remove the glove box and disconnect the wire connector from the switch; then jumper the two wires together. If that fixes the problem, replace the switch.

Trunk wont release with button on dash or using key fob

Hi, I believe this may be a fuse problem. The owners manual will show you the fuse box or boxes locations and what each fuse powers. If it is a blown fuse it may be that something in the trunk pinched the wire and shorted it. The wires as they run from the body to the trunk lid is a good place to check for a pinched wire or short. The unlock solenoid may be the culprit if it shorted out, just a possibility. If a fuse is blown, replace it then check to see if the brake light works. If so then try opening the trunk electronically, if the fuse blows again then you know that circuit is the problem. Good Luck, Jim

There is a short somewhere creating problems throughtout the truck. The short caused the taillight fuse to overheat in the fuse box and it melted in the box. The wiring for the trailer lights worked so I...

Got much the same trouble... Well similar anyways. Started with burned wires in the harness above drivers side fuse box. Headlights stayed on even with switch off and key out. Then melting of the break light fuse ( bypassed that with an inline fuse to the break light switch). Then my park lights done much the same thing, now I turn the truck off and the heater fan stays on but wont turn back on after I move the switch to off. Also it will turn off if I turn on the parklights. Ugh
