2006 Jetta TDI Tiptronic Maintenance

2006 Jetta TDI Tiptronic. I have three questions:
1. Is the Tiptronic the same thing as DSG?
2. What type and how much transmission fluid does my car take?
3. How do you change the tranmission fluid oil and filter?

The tiptronic is not the DSG - two separate transmissions. You don't need to service the tiptronic every 40k like you do the DSG.
VW considers the fluid in a Tiptronic tranny as "lifetime" fluid - it doesn't need to be changed.

2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 1.9 BRM engine. Vacuum line trouble shooting.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

Oil, air filter and fuel filter are nothing to do with your issue. If it 'revs through the roof' and doesn't move, your issue is a burned out clutch or a problem with the automatic gearbox.

You can trace vacuum leaks two ways.

The cheap way. buy a 3 foot length of 1/4" plastic hose and stick one end in your ear. Wave the other end around and follow the noise.

Take it to a garage and they do a smoke test. They pressurize the system with a smoke generator and see where it appears from. The test takes a couple of house on a slow leak and 5 minutes on a big one.

Emissions garage light comes on 2006 VW Jetta 2.0 tdi. engine lacks power and is slow to change up gears (dsg gearbox). I have cleaned the erg valve and refitted. No change

It may be the gas problem?OBD ECU after oil problem is detected automatically set emission reduction, thereby causing emissions warning light is on. Long died can also lead to other serious fault lights appear.

Tranny slips occasional on up shift. clunks on 4-3-2-1 downshifts

If your TT is quattro it is DSG, if it is FWD then it is Tiptronic.. A battery change usually requires a trip to the dealer to hook up the scan tool and program the TCU for the transmission...
And yes a lower voltage can affect the sensitive electronics in this car..

2001 Jetta TDI A/C problem

well it could be a number of things.....
1) the fuse is out
2) the wiring is some were messed up, probably were the actual pump is or a cylindrical looking thingy
3) one of the tubs might have a crack in it an let out all the fluid, thats easy to check just startfilling it.

for me i had all three problams but for a diff car.... but those three things are the first thing to check

I suggest trying a diesel additive in your tank if you haven't been using it. It is available at Walmart as I use it all the time. I have 64K miles on my 06 Jetta TDI with not problems. You also could have something in your tank causing the problem. (condensation)
