How do you sheck the transmition fluid

02/'03 L200/L300's don't have transmission dipsticks most likely reflecting Saturn's confidence of a leak-free transmission, leaving only a red fill cap on the transmission. The actual method for checking transmission level is a very abnormal method; parking on a level surface, removing the transmission oil level bolt/cap from the transmission, observing whether or not fluid flows out. Excess fluid will flow out automatically establishing the proper level and amount of transmission fluid. Less would mean topping off by pouring some into the top access fill hole and observing if fluid flows out the leveled drain hole until fluid flows out. This would indicate proper levels and replacing the top and access plug is all that's necessary. Messy as compared to the old method. The access bolt will be sized differently from the other bolts holding the transmission sump on. I would assume your '01 L200 is the same. Use regular Dexron ATF red transmission fluid.

I have a 2000 honda accord that i wash the engine and now....

Unless you sprayed high pressure water into the bay for a bit then it wouldnt have affected it. 98-02 accords are notorious for slipping auto transmissions around 130k (requiring a replacement). Sounds like it just coincided with you washing the car.

1999 Accord Automatic Transmission issue

im so sorry to say that Honda has a bad transmission line in the 98-02 accord models.. there were severe recalls on this very matter..I only got rid of my 99 accord V6 because the shop who changed my motor mounts crushed my transmission line and blamed it on me..if you had motor mounts or timing done or serpentine belt(i forgot if it has both or just 1),then check to see if transmission line is crushed it can be seen right underneath the battery..

Flashing green s on the dash

A green flashing "S" is similar to a check engine light. It is telling you that something in or on your transmission is not functioning correctly, such as the speed sensor or shift control solenoids. If it starts flashing and the speedometer stops working or the transmission shifts weird, take it to a mechanic.
