There it is
p0031, what engine, 2.7? v6? the code is clear, bank one, cylinder 1 is bank 1, and sender one hearter is dead, front 02 sensor.
very common at about 100k, miles heater blow out.
the v6 is not easy to reach. there are 4 engine opetions, 3 gas and 1 diesel, J20,H27,M16 and PSA diesel, 6 engines up to 2013, ill guess H27 , and show the rear of it next
bank1 is left on V6
there is the full change out, step on USA spec. H27
bad sensor, or the heater wires are cut. that be it for any heater fail, regardless of car.
alwasy start posts with engine, in car, we cant guess that. ever and most the wiring varies by that. up front.
Yes v6
My mechanic does not now what side and thus what to have me buy.
so the link above is missing, I posted a real V6 photo of all 02 sensor and even shows how difficult they are to change out, that page, they are, unless size of mini mouse or olive-oil. the left bank is #1 the top 02 is S1. B1S1 is your failure, best i can tell with small photo. bank1 means cylinder 1 side, s1 means top (our upstream sensor),
here i post he photo direct.
see that? B1S1. on back of engine, ? top left, at bell 11AM
unplugging it is pure hell, what i did on mine is remove the bracket to get hands ON IT, then found the connector unlocks backwards from every other connector on car, (trick 2)
all conn, are locked, you know that right?
and your mech, he know that, if not fire him.
tell him Day one ASE school, the V6 and V8 engines one cylinder is most front, that is #1 cylinder, and is called bank 1, and on this engine, had he just looked, it be left side, , left means, driver seated in car, (ASE rule 2) left is left, not gandering in to engine bay.
B1S1 means left bank, and up stream of cat is S1.
