Hey, so i recently had this problem with my ls400 1990! My car runs really good but recently it just dies out of no where and starts right after and thn runs good !

Your solenoids inside the transmission may be bad, try to unplug the 4 wire connector to the front of the transmission to see if the problem still continues, if it doesn't then its the solenoids causing the problem, they stay engaged into gear thus car dies and when you put on park, it starts fine again, when you shift it dies again. I had the same problem, changed the all solenoids fix my problem. Hope it helps.

it sounds like you have blown fuse to the Alternator.. I don't know what car you are talking about but they charging systems vary.. But if alternator isn't getting all the power it needs it won't charge. this should be checked.

SOURCE: put in new alternator 98 ford taurus dohc car will start thn stop

Check mega fuse. Side of fuse box under hood. Slide cover off and test both studs. Should have 12 volts on both studs. If not. Fuse blow.

You are on the right track by finding the injector pulse missing.
The computer grounds the injectors based on signals from the cam and crank sensors. You may have to use a scanner to check for trouble codes in the computer and watch the sensors work.
The problem could also be a relay or the key switch.

SOURCE: 2002 dodge stratus starts, then dies right away. Battery is good and alternator is good. What could be the problem?

check fuel pressure at the manifold (regulator and fuel pump/ filter)

Serviced recently? or worked on? Sounds like valve timing is off

Hey guys .i have a 1990 chevy c2500. a while back it started running kinda rough when at low rpms... then it began blowing the ecm fuse after running for about 10 minutes, and the check engine light would...

First check and see if you have spark at the sparkplug if you do then you need to check your fuel pressure.It sounds like to me that your fuel pump has went out to lunch.When you turn your ignition on try and listen for the fuel you should here it for the first 2 seconds you turn the switch on.

Car died and won't start again. engine turns over but does not start

Is there a light that says "Theft System" blinking on your dashboard? That happened to me recently and I had to turn the key to the "ON" position, let it sit there like that for 10 minutes, the light went off, I took the key out, put it back in and the car started right away. Other than that, I really wouldn't know what is wrong with the car. Good luck.

Car wont stay running even at a idle

It sounds like your alternator is almost done. Thats power distribution right there. If your alternator doesnt work, your car will run for a minute or two on battery power. Then it will kill the battery. If your car starts, its not the injection system, but you might need fuel injector cleaner to just run through your fuel injection system. To check the alternator, get someone to jump your car. leave the cables connected for about five minutes letting the car run. If it still dies, you need to clean your fuel injection system. If it doesnt die, its your alternator. A alternator costs about a hundred bucks.

sounds like the ignition barrel is starting to go the only thing really to do is either wait for it to completely die and then replace it or just replace it now
