2000 camry runs great.exsept when stoped there a fruttering sond.when i put hand on hood it stops.

it should tell you in your owners manual what type of oil to use also pop your hood and it should tell you on the black cap where you put your oil in the motor what it takes my Toyota Camry takes 5W-30 it is a 1999 so your 2000 probably takes the same if that helps

check ur timing belt and turn the motor by hand to make sure its not hydrolocked

it sonds like ur temp sender can be on its way out,best to get the fault codes read out

unhook from latche ***. couple clamps down driver fender holding cable -rubber gorment thru fire wall -cable handle bolts under dash - put back in reverse order

Sounds like bad alternator and dead battery to me.

The fuse box in under the hood of the vehicle by the fender of the driver side. These windows run off a relay.

Ok, first (I know it sounds stupid) were the battery terminals put on correctly? positive to positive.. If so, then check your fuses BOth under the hood and inside the car. Check to see if any other devices are supposed to be connected to the positive lead of the battery or any loose non connected electrical wires by your battery. You might have a relay that went out or a short between your battery (and/or battery cable) and your "firewall".
