The auto parts stores in my area cannot pull the airbag codes, neither could a few of the mechanics I have taken it to. I was told only the dealership or someone with this certain machine could pull the airbag codes. I have had the clockspring replaced at the Ford dealership for $130 due to the airbag light being on, this fixed the problem for about 2 weeks. When the light came back on I returned it to Ford where they claimed it was the wiring harness under the passenger seat which cost me over $100. Now it has been about 8 months and the airbag light is on again.
Need to run engine codes and see what is wrong most large auto stores will do for free call a few in your area and check, most likely the problem is bad sensor
