The Cat Converter mat be almost blocked ,this can cause this fault. To Check place your hand close to the tail pipe end, a blocked exhaust will make a hissing sound and a continuous pressure will be felt. On a good system you will feel a short pulse as each cylinder fires. The Hiss and pressure will increase with engine speed on a blocked system
I am guessing that it will start only for a second or two then stall out. Well for this you need to turn the ignition on and then try to start the engine. Then leave the ignition on while the security light flashes. It should then stay on solid after about 10 minutes. When light stays on solid then turn off ignition for about 20 seconds then try to start. It should start up. Hope this helps.
could be a bad plug even know they are new one might be bad , first check in the dark for any arcing (blue sparks) coming from wires might be a split in one of the spark boots ,make sure on there good, also a chance you put wire to wrong cylinder
Go to Advance or Auto Zone and have them run an obd scan on it and it will pin point why your light is on and could solve your problem. This is often done for free.
WHEN ENGINE LIGHT IS FLASHING,IT IS INDICATING AN ENGINE MISFIRE CONDITION..CHECK SPARK PLUGS/WIRES FOR CARBON TRACKING..BURNT LINES ON SIDES OF PLUGS AND IN WIRE BOOT..IF ANY PRESENT,REPLACE PLUGS AND WIRES
