Signals and hazards don't work...does the relay need to be replaced or the flasher??

Its behind the center of the dash under the Ashtray U need TORX screwdrivers to take out the screws got to take off nearly all over the under dash plastic trim.

The turn signal flasher is mounted in a clip on the right side of the steering column support bracket. The hazard flasher is located in the component center, under the instrument panel, on the right side. Replace the flasher by unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one.

under the dash below the steering wheel it is probly blue and round located on one of the courners of the fues box

Check to make sure none of your turn signal bulbs are burnt out. unlike many cars, these cars will just keep the green arrow on without flashing, instead of the usual rapid flashing that normally happens when a bulb burns out in other cars. Ive had this happen to my Trans Am, and it drove me crazy.

SOURCE: Constant clicking from flasher unit

The flasher unit has gone bad and needs to be changed. The flasher module is a part of the hazard module also. The clicking is the unit is still working but there is not enough voltage to activate the lights to flash. It's common on the Malibu's and other GM product cars similar to the Malibu like Grand Am's Ect. I believe Auto Zone has the replacement part for you car and is more reasonable in price then the dealer and the y also have the step by step instructions to replace the flasher module.
