The P0208 code on your 2012 Mercedes Sprinter is likely a false positive. This code indicates an injector circuit malfunction on cylinder 8, but your Sprinter only has 6 cylinders. The most likely cause of this code is a problem with the wiring harness or connection to the injector.
To clear the P0208 code, you can try the following:
Inspect the wiring harness for any damage or loose connections.
Clean the injector connector with electrical contact cleaner.
Reinstall the injector and clear the code with your scan tool.
If the code persists after these steps, you may need to replace the injector or wiring harness.
The P2453 code is an error in the DPF sensor. This code can be cleared by performing a regeneration of the DPF. You can do this by driving the vehicle at a steady speed of 50-60 mph for 20-30 minutes.
If the P2453 code persists after performing a regeneration, you may need to replace the DPF sensor.
It is important to note that these are just some general troubleshooting steps. The specific cause of your codes may vary. If you are unable to clear the codes yourself, it is best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis.
It should be any code reader for 1996 and up vehicle which is OBD2 then google the code and it'll give you a list of possible causes or call your local auto parts store, give them your code and they'll be able to figure it out. O'reilly Auto Parts would be my opinion. And if you dont want to buy one because they can get pricey they do free engine light checks. It'll look something like "p0204" something of that nature.
I used a generic scan tool on a v6 sprinter and it gave me fault code p1955 as a current code. I hooked up the factory scan tool (star diagnosis) and had no fault codes. Looked up the mercedes benz obd codes and this code does not exist. What symptoms do you have with your sprinter?
first, open the hood of your van. and look for the bolts that hold it in. some may be hidden toward the bottom by the bumper. once unbolted completly, it should come out easily. i hope this helped
