SOURCE: AUDI A6 RADIO CODE

I just posted a solution for this problem. It comes straight from the radio manual. The dealer should have told you this. If you want him to do it he'll charge money for his time. IF YOU LOST YOUR CODE. THE DEALER CAN HELP YOU OR IF YOU HAVE YOUR 4 DIGIT CODE: dd43c71.jpg

SOURCE: 2000 Buick Regal LS 3.6 - Flashing Dashboard Lights/Wont start

Most likely it is the ignition switch (the key ignition switch) in the steering column ($100 at a dealer).

It may be a loose negative battery ground cable, too.
Check the negative battery cable where it conencts to the engine ground. It may be loose, corroded, damaged, or otherwise not making a good ground contact.

Add a grounding strap ($11 - AutoZone) from the engine to the chassis. That may help, but it's most likely the ignition switch.

2007 Audi Q2 Quattro won't start after re-connecting the battery?

Please give this a go..Start with a throttle body adaptation. Needs to be done whenever the battery is reconnected after being disconnected. Turn the key to the ACC/ON position (without starting the engine) and wait about 3 to 4 minutes. You should hear some humming/clicking noises. After 3 to 4 min try to start it, should go. just needed the TB adaptation to cycle. with out a working TB no start, nada nothing.
Hope this helps

Remove dashboard Hi I need to remove my dashoard

If you have to ask I wouldn't get involved. Normally start by disconnection neg cable on battery but most time the clusters are not repairable and need to be replaced.

Dashboard lights not coming on and the radio not working

Sounds like a ground wire has been pulled loose under the dash. The ground wire on automotive is white and they are connected to the firewall with a small bolt(10mm head) and just need tightened up or reconnected. ALWAYS check the grounds first.

Ignition switch was sticking for weeks but starting i would start the car then pull the swirch back a little an everything was ok i had a music system installed one day five hours later my head lights...

It sounds like you have more than one problem with your Audi. The coolant leak and the ignition switch are two separate issues. I would recommend that you take the car to the Audi dealer or to an independent garage that specializes on German cars and have the vehicle checked.

I need the radio operating manual for a Jeep Patriot 2009 model. Where can I down load it from as the local dealer cannot seem to find a hard copy for me.

following is the procedure. u can also check ehow for more details.
  • Twist the negative cable off the terminal on the vehicle battery, using an adjustable wrench.
  • Remove the factory issue stereo. Pry off the radio trim bezel with a flat head screwdriver. Remove the four bolts on each corner of the radio. Pull the radio out the dashboard. Unplug the thick black radio antenna cable. Disconnect the wire harnesses from the rear of the stereo. Place the old stereo to one side.
  • Prepare the dashboard for the new stereo. Fit the radio installation sleeve provided with the aftermarket stereo to the radio installation kit. Feed the sleeve through the portal of the radio installation kit and bend the tabs on the sides of the sleeve to secure it in place. Feed the audio wiring of the Jeep and the radio antenna cable through the portal of the assembly and slide the assembly into the dashboard. Secure it in place with the bolts removed earlier.
  • Wire the new stereo. Connect the wiring of the stereo to the audio wiring of the Patriot, using a custom wire harness adapter. Push the connections together until they snap into place and test the connection by tugging gently on either end.
  • Plug the radio antenna cable into the alloted port on the rear of the aftermarket head unit.
  • Slide the connected aftermarket stereo into the prepared housing in the Patriot's dashboard. Click it into place in the radio installation sleeve, taking care not to trap any wiring.

    Audi A3 1.8t 1998 - lights alert - handsfree gadget

Your A3 should sound a warning beep if you leave your lights on. For this to happen the light switch would be in the side, or dipped position, the key out of the ignition and the drivers door open. If it does not sound the car may not be getting either the door or key signal. To check the key out signal, key the ignition to the on position, turn on the radio (probably only work if a standard radio is still fitted) then key off and remove key, if the radio goes off, its a good sign thats ok. For the door signal make sure opening the drivers door brings on the interior light on, this shows it recognises when its open. Let me know if anymore advise is needed.
As for the mic wiring, as far as I'm aware there were no standard/optional phone kits for this age A3.

    Radio stays on.

It would be best to pull the radio fuse leaving it out for several minutes then replace it. tis may well fix the problem but if it doesn't you can remove the fuse agin knowing it will not drain the battery over night

Engine don't start and have a clicking sound

you should check and see the batttery smart visor indicator (if applicable - see owners manual)
this may be that the battery has been drained and does not have enough power to rotate the starter. lights, dashboard, instruments light up ok as the voltage is there but the power (amperage) is low. please refer to owners manual on how to recharge your battery. bare in mind that removing the baterry from the care will reset systems (audio, alarm) and you wil need to recode them by using the codes provided with the car.
