On any vehicle with an automatic transmission, there are two dip sticks. One to measure oil level, and the other transmission fluid level( typically labled 'check with engine running in park'). To add transmission fluid requires a funnel to introduce fluid via the dip-stick tube.

If you have a manual transmission, then you don't need transmission fluid, you need gear oil, which can be measured at the transmission and added at the same port.

How does one add transmission fluid to 1995 jeep grand cherokee laredo?

Look for the dipstick where you check the transmision fluid level. If you need any you pour it down the dipstick hole. Add it in small amounts and check in between additions, its really easy to overfill. Once overfilled a real pain to get it out.

1995 Chevy Astro Van transmission fluid level? How many quarts should be in there with a 4.3 engine?

From a totally dry condition with Torque Converter empty the book indicates 4 Quarts. The best way to check is to add 1 pint if you are at the low marks with the engine warm and idling in Park. If you have drained the Transmission to change the filter, start by adding a quart and then check level and add a pint then check level, continue the process of adding fluid a pint at a time and checking level until you get the level to a place between the marks. Drive the vehicle for a few blocks, check and add fluid as needed.

Need to check and add transmission fluid to the 2006 dodge magnum

Start the engine and let it come up to temperature. ( Fully warm up). Put the vehicle in neutral ( on level ground) and check the level on the transmission dipstick. The hard part is putting the fluid in if you need some. You have to use a funnel and put it in through the dipstick tube. DO NOT OVERFILL! hope this is helpful.

Where is the transmission fluid reservoir

there is no transmission fluid reservoir. with the engine running at operating temperature on level ground, you need to pull out the transmission dip stick, clean it off, reinsert, remove and check level. as long as it's in the hash marks don't add any fluid.

CHECKING TRANSMISSION FLUID

I believe these have one of the new "sealed transmissions" You don't check the transmission fluid.

They are a "lifetme transmission" when it's life is up and it breaks you pull it for a new one (or dump the car) Dodge is using allot of these

Transmission Dip Stick missing

According to the manual, the dipstick is not included. You have to take it to the dealer if you notice any leaks or a warning light comes on. Go figure !!
