If you are talking about the blower fan resistor, this regulates the speed of the fan and can keep it off completely. You would go to the blower fan and backtrack the wires to a place on the Firewall where a part is held on by 2 bolts and has 1 wire from the blower fan on it.

There may be clearance problems with heater hoses and metal tubes in this area. The part is the size of a pack of cigarettes and is mostly hidden inside the duct structure. This is all under the hood work.


Look online for the blower motor resistor for your make and model. You may find a video.

in passengers side under top of dash in relay box

THE RESISTOR IS DOWN UNDER THE DASH NEAR THE BLOWER MOTOR. GETTING A NEW ONE BEFORE YOU START WILL HELP IDENTIFY THE BAD ONE.

It should be located on the blower motor housing under the right side of the dash, it will have wiring connector and 2 screws holding it in.

sounds like the switch and is fairly easy to remove and replace the switch ..

Look for the plug ends on the new part. The old part is usually recessed in to the housing by the blower and retained by a couple of screws. Find the terminals that match the new part on the blower housing. Remove the recessed part from the blower housing and install the new part and your problem will be resolved.
