Car hessitates

Check coolant temp sensor if car runs okay after first start up. If it does not run OK after getting engine warm, probably idle air control valve.

Free seized engines

When the weather is warm, we rely on our car's cooling system to keep temperatures in the engine compartment under control, and keep us on the road. Your cooling system is a series of components that circulate coolant through the engine to absorb heat, then circulate air around the coolant to get it out. If any part of the system stops working, you're on the side of the road while your engine takes a steam bath. The best medicine is preventive. You should flush your radiator on schedule to keep the system clean and well flowing. Unfortunately we aren't always lucky, and things go wrong. Let us help you figure out why your car or truck is running hot or overheating.
Problem with 2000 BMW 528i idling problem when you start the car in the winter time. The care starts by idling aroun 1000rpm, which is normal for a cold engine start, but within 30 seconds it drops down to about 750rpm. Now the problem is that it fluctuates between 750rpm and 250rpm, almost shutting down, and sometimes does shutdown.
Solutions:
1. I would first try to clean out the Idle control valve...some people have seen a 30% increase on cold start idle, there are several links in the DIY section.

2. If the sounds like classic Vanos seal issues. I had the same problem with mine in the cold weather. It would go away after the car warmed up. Replaced the Vanos seals and the problem disappeared.
3. Make sure you get the correct replacement seals or you'll end up with the same problem down the road.

When i start my jeep in the cold mornings it starts up but bogs right down and stalls then i have to accelerate for the second start up for a few minutes to warm it up a little and then it bogs and stays...

Your only problem friend, is the temperature sending unit/sensor. Upon cold start, this sensor wil tell the computer to go into cold start mode putting a bit more fuel in and raising the idle a bit to keep it running when cold without using the throttle. Replace that sensor and your good to go. Makes sense, right?

1994 camry 4cyl. was running great. drove it to work and shut it off, then went to start it back up and it shut right off, wont idle. I can keep it running by keeping my foot on gas and its not running...

have your idle control switch check, easy and inexpensive to replace. The idle control switch is what keep the engine stay idle. also have your throttle body clean by a professional having that many miles, it will give you better gas mileage.

Jeep won't start

what generally happens with jeeps. is the idle air control valve loses memory of its idle position. try starting the vehicle with your foot slightly on the gas pedal. if it starts your going to have to keep it running by keeping your foot on the gas until it relearns its position and runs by itself. also there is a possibility that one of the modules locked up. if my first suggestion doesnt work then disconnect the negative batt cable for 30 seconds reconnect and then try to start it

Engine overheated, now car won't start without giving it gas

Some cars cut off as a fail safe to overheating especially on newer cars. The computer controls the fans and if they are not working the computer is probably telling the car to shut off. Have you replaced the motors already, if not, this is what's happening. Once you replace the motors it should run fine. I wouldn't suggest driving it too much with this problem as it may affect the computer by giving it false info.
