Do you have a Volt Meter available? In addition to what the guys have suggested, you might have an open fuse link. when they burn, the wires can still touch each other sometimes, especially when wiggling the harnesses.

Here is another common problem, in these well used Trucks sometimes the Shifter Park / Nuetral switch is a bit off. Try moving the Gear selector in a spirited fashon from P to L1 and back. does it start?

You mean it starts itself whenever it wants? Or used to?
How's the Positive cable? What else was it doing before you changed battery?

Testimonial: "Replaced old battery, fired right up. After sitting in cold for a month wouldn't start. Ground seemed corroded. Cleaned and jumped, fired right up. Week later nothing. Messed with ground and jumped again. Week later started right up. This morning, nothing. Changed ground today, still nothing"

2004 Trailblazer 4.2L no crank.

85 & 86 are the control side of the relay , one should have battery voltage (85) the other (86) doesn't .86 is control from the PCM - engine computer . PCM supplys a ground to close contacts inside the relay sending battery voltage to the S terminal on the starter solenoid . If the PCM doesn't see a voltage signal fron the park neutral safety switch it won't energize the relay .
Circuit Description (ECM/PCM Controlled)
Moving the ignition switch to the START position sends a 12-volt signal to the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM) Crank Request circuit. The ECM/PCM verifies that the transmission is in the PARK or NEUTRAL position. With the transmission in Park, voltage flows through the Park/Neutral position switch and feeds the starter relay coil. The PCM then grounds the control circuit of the starter relay. When the starter relay is energized it allows battery positive voltage to the starter solenoid S terminal. On some vehicles the starter will continue to crank the engine with the key released until it starts or the crank command has timed out to prevent excessive heat build up in the starter circuitry or the ECM/PCM receives an engine run flag.

No spark to plugs 1990 dodge pickup 318 cid

I saw this link and it has same issue with several solutions.
Some solution check motor ground, damage wiring to distributor/ coil, ecm and crank sensor. One person said he found solution by trouble code even though he had no check engine light on dash.

Installed new battery on 2006 Galant and it still wont crank the engine. Put Jumpers on and it starts. Whats the problem?

If you're jumping with the jumper neg lead on engine block (like you should) then you have a bad ground lead.
If you are jumpering to the battery terminals then the connection to the battery itself is bad. Clean the battery connector terminals.

I have a 95 honda civic ex,wont start.ran fine yesterday,wont start this morning.battery is fully charged,new cap and rotor.would do u think might b my problem

if it wont turn over 1st check the ground s on the car and the battery 1st. your battery can be fully charged and the car will not start even over night this can happen. then look at the starter. Note: if you have over 109K on the car and the timing belt has never been replaced you will need to have this checked as well.

Engine wont turn over even though all dash lights work when key on.

This is the classic symptom of a bad battery. Your engine requires a lot of power to crank but the little lights in your dash require very little. if the battery is even a little drained it won't crank the engine, but everything else will seem to work fine. Either jumpstart the car (if it starts, then you likely need a new battery) or test the voltage at the battery terminal when trying to start the car. If the voltage drops below 12 volts you need a new battery (or at least a freshly charged one)

well if you have a dvom/voltmeter check the power at the starter terminals. the main terminal should have power all the time the key wire should have power only when the key is turned to crank engine. if you have power at both then i would start looking at grounds
