How do I replace light bulb on the sun visor vanity mirror on 2002 legacy/ liberty subaru

Talking about the sun visor lights?. There are small wires in them, pulling it up and down and left and right breaks these wires. To fix this you need to pull the visor(takes a special tool). Pop off the bezel at the roof mount the remove the screws to pull the mount out. Pull the wires until the plug comes out and unplug it. Then cut the stitching from the cloth/vinyl cover of the visor. Pull it out of your way. Find where the wire broken and repair it. Sew the visor back and re install. Visors aren't cheap. Last one I bought was $140.

i would go to your nearest dealer and order the sun visor you will need a 15 torx bit three bolts remove and replace you should be able to handle this repair yourself and save about 100 bucks good luck

ok.. you either bought the lights over the vanity mirrors in the sun visors... or the lights are not working in the sun visors???? Wow man!... think you could take additional classes in the English language? ... what's this issue with 'extra clock' in between the sun visors are not working'???? Tell you what, since you're convinced you have a problem, Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

the retension spring is weak, it cant be fix, have to replace it, check the dealer or your near by salvage yard.

The "post" mounted into the roof/headliner has a plastic "cap" cover over the screws, I believe. If not simply remove the screws and drop the visor down...it may have a wire that connects power for the vanity mirror...just find the tiny clips and disconnect. I'd look for the visor using a junkyard "landline" search-first. Trim pieces like visors can be difficult to locate depending where you live in the country. Dealer-sourced, expect to spend $$$ per visor

There are two little plastic pins that snap against a spring steel clip and these have broken off.. - for @ $180.usd you can replace the unit.. or we applied two small velcro discs ( ask at any hardware store) under the mirror and cover and that seems to work fine. They also make adhesive magnet strip that might work. A fix that we used for a few weeks was to clip the garage door opener on this visor..it held it in place nicely. Good luck
