The Window Must move down before door will open
I imagine the obvious answer is to use a key in the door lock cylinder. The reason you have done this is because there is no door lock cylinder! You only have a fob is my guess, that electronically opens the doors. Dead battery..and the fob no longer works. Don't worry, examine your fob and there should be a way to open it. Carefully open the fob and surprise! There is a key inside of it! Now take that key and there ahould be a key lock cylinder above your rear license plate. You should be able to open your rear hatch. Now somewhere to the drivers side in the rear compartment there should be some sort of pull you can use which will open the drivers door. Hope that helps you out!

try checking the fuses for the swithes themselves, usually under the dash or beside the doors

Remove the cover plate and try hooking up a 9 volt battery (yes the standard square household battery) directly to the wires coming from the electric window motor. Hooking up the wires one way will lower and the opposite way will raise the glass. If that doesn't work you'll have to replace the motor or whole regulator unit. If it does work then use a voltmeter to find out how many volts are reaching the switch. As a vehicle gets older wires get worn (insulation comes off easily and small wire strands break were there's flexing or pulling) and grounds become loose or corroded. Check and clean all the grounds you can see (rusty door and hinge could cause a lack of grounding so clean around hinges and the PW regulator bolts) and replace the wire from the dashboard switch to the window and you could add a flexible ground strap from window regulator through the bottom of the door to the frame.

something puts bcm into safe mode. take neg. battery cable off and touch it to pos. post for 30 sec. leave unconnected for 6 hrs then reconnect. should work after that. just did mine. dealer wanted 400$ to change door switch. doing this lets the bcm reset itself
