Check the ignition module to see if your getting fire. You can pull off a spark plug wire to check also if you know how to do it

Nissan sentra stops while driving. I had it in the garage & replaced a ton of parts but it still keeps stopping right on the road. Now it wont start at all.

Won't start how ? When you turn the key to the start position does anything happen ? Does the starter engage an spin the engine ? If it does , what's missing ? Spark or fuel ? Pull a spark plug wire an stick a screw driver in the end of the plug wire an hold near metal on the engine (ground) Have someone crank the engine . Is there Spark ? Hook up a fuel pressure gauge ,does it have fuel pressure ? Videos on youtube showing how to do testing .

Does the starter crank the engine over? If so, check for spark on a spark plug wire when cranking. If you have a strong blue spark, ignition is probably good. Check fuel pressure. Do you hear the fuel pump turn on for 2 seconds when turning key to on?

pull one of the coils out of the eng and attach the sparkplug and check for spark. if you don';t have any spark i suggest replacing the crank sensor. if you hae spark check for fuel pump activation. last and most unlikely ecm failure

1996 Sentra wont start. Replaced the battery. Turns over strong. Smells like it has fuel. Previous owner just replaced spark plug wires and distributor. Any suggestions?

If you smell fuel, there is a chance that the engine is 'flooded' and fuel has wet the plugs. You can dry it out to some extent by pushing the accelerator slowly to the floor and holding it there while you crank the engine. If it still won't start (or at least fire a couple of times) then you may not have any spark to drown. If it does sputter a little, continue holding the pedal down and continue cranking to see if the other cylinders will follow. It's time to pull a plug wire, place it on the block or other grounded surface and have someone crank it to see if there is any spark at all. If not, there are too many things that could prevent it so you may have to have the computer scanned to see what might have failed.
