My 03 Dodge Durango stereo isn't working. The lights are on and functional, but there's no sound coming out of the speakers.

Check the speaker wire plug at the back of the stereo system.

How would I do that? I have a stock radio system

  • Brad Mar 05, 2015

Julius, you will have to fiscally pull out the stereo out of the dash border. Some vehicles do com with special tool which is inserted on each side of stereo once you slide the clip tool in, the unit will slide out. The problem is to find the tool (clips). You can probably get them from dealer or aftermarket shop.

"P done" means there are no codes stored. If there were codes you would see P and 4 numbers.

Have a mechanic look at your front end. Find out what it is then fix it. could be ball joints, tie rods, rotors or a number of other things.Did your bearings go bad before this new set? could they have ruined the spindal or the hub?

How do i remove the factory stereo out of my 2002 dodge durango and replace it with an aftermarket stereo and also getting the speaker to work if they are amped

take the plastic thing off that goes all the way around the guages or w.e. then ther should b 2 bolts on the front of the stereo take them out. take out the radio n unconnect wires. then get a wire kit n plug it in and hook it up. if the speakers dont work either get new ones or rewire them using all different wires.

2003 dodge durango no headlights,no wipers ,no door locks no parking lights all fuses good

Outkastroost, I had the same problem last year with my '03 Durango. It happened shortly after we installed a new stereo. The solution was to disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 30 seconds to reset the computer. It's been working fine for a year now after that. I hope this works for you, too.
