On the Isuzu they run the plug from the seat through the carpet to the frame to the fuel pump. my guess is they didn't plug it back in. look under the truck and find the wire that connects to the fuel pump. follow the wire to the frame and towards the front of the truck. if you see any issues or the plug is not connected then figure out how to get it plugged back together. the other issue is they connected the plug but damage the connectors or its not connected fully. I hope this fixes your problem.

Check for a broken ground wire around the fuel pump. Or somehow you may have tripped the inertia switch under the hood on the side of the shock tower.

SOURCE: how to replace timing belt in 2001 santa fe. What

That depends on if the front motor mount is blocking half of the timing belt . Then you have to have the motor lifted out to change the timing belt . Now that just added at least another 2 hours to the labour hours. In all honesty, now you are looking at a 4 to 6 hours of total work . Now , do you know if it is a timing belt or a timing chain. Timing belt, yes will take about 4 to 6 hours , but a timing chain will take over 8 hours because it is inside the motor.

Is there a unused front seat power wiring harness hidden under the carpet ?

No If it didnt come with power seats. If you have the tracks and the seat controls are on the side of the new seat all you need to do is run a a 10 or 15 amp fused power wire out the fuse box and ad a ground.

I have a 2001 Santa Fe and I took it to auto zone and they put it on this plug in device Alto see why KY check engine light stays on and it said system running rich. What does that mean?

A guy who was selling pizza or delivering news papers last week put a 30 dollar toy on your car and he tells you it is running rich.

I would take it to a trained tech who can put a 4000 dollar diagnostic computer on it, and if he agrees then pay him to adjust the mixture or fix the cold start enrichment circuit to make the rich running go away. running rich means you have too much fuel in the fuel and air mixture being introduced into the combustion chamber. you are wasting gas just for starters.

a guy who has even a little tech training, who works on those engines all the time and has access to the technical bulletins and recalls is worth the cost.

I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe . on vehicle inspection they got a code P0444 and a P0112. any suggestions on what to change to get it to pass?? thanks

Parts: I assume you have the 2.7 litre engine
I priced the parts at this website: https://www.shophyundaiparts.com/hyundai-santa-fe-parts.html

Santa Fe , Air intake temp sensor, 2.7l $11.28
Santa Fe , Purge valve - 2.7 l $27.56

The air temp sensor is behind the intake surge tank. I do not have a picture of the sensor by itself.

The purge valve is under the car by the driveshaft and looks like this

I do not have specific instructions for replacing these parts, but I think the temperature sensor unscrews. You may want to use a little teflon tape on the new sensor to seal the threads.

For the purge sensor, remove the vapor hoses and unclamp it from the bracket.

For each sensor, the connector will have a tab you have to press to get the connector off of the part.

Let me know if you get stuck or have more questions.

Where is the gas filter located on my ,05 hyundai santa fe?

The gas filter is located inside the gas tank in a 2005 Santa Fe. It is part of the fuel pump assembly located in the left side of the gas tank. It can be located by removing the left rear seat, folding a panel in the carpet out of the way, and removing a small metal plate in the floor.

How to change fuel filter in 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

Hi,

Please follow the steps to change the fuel filter. You would need to remove the left rear seat (four 14mm bolts). I think you'll need to finish cutting through the tabs on the carpet to be able to lift up the carpet. Then remove the access cover. You can then remove the fuel pump from the top of the tank.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com
