SOURCE: I need the location of the low pressure ac port

The lincoln better idea engineers put the low side freon port in a peculiar place.. You will find the low pressure port near the compressor under the car on the driver's side. You will need to put your car on a lift to get to it. Once you raise your vehicle, take the plastic shields off and you will find the compressor...yup...it's a tight spot.
Hope i was able to answer your question...be safe.

SOURCE: heat wont work 2001 lincoln town car cartia

Hello Callahan5922....this sounds like a stuck blower motor resistor. I assume the blower won't function in the a/c mode either? If you have a digital multimeter you can check this. I believe it's fuse #2....if the digital indicator goes up or down when you increase or decrease the fan speed thats good. Locate the blower motor resistor....you wil find it located on the fire wall behind the right valve cover hiding behind the heater hose, it's about the size of a cigarette pack. With the engine off, and key in on position, turn the A/C on High, and rap a tap tap tap on the resistor. You might be suprised when the blower motor takes off a runnin,
I hope this is the answer you need and i was able to help solve this for you. Good luck...

SOURCE: 1997 lincoln town car 4.6 with a p0430 fault code

I will make an assumption here, we know what the root word means. This code was extracted from the computer by? What this is telling you one of 2 things: The Bank 2 oxygen sensor down stream of the catalytic converter (there are 2 converters, one for each bank of cylinders on the 4.6ltr engine) is bad and/or that the Bank 2 catalytic converter is no longer doing the job it was designed to do. Simply, Catalysts wear out. They are good for approx 100,000 miles (as required by Federal Law). Again, I assume that the reason the intake manifold was replaced was because it had a crack in one, or more, of the runners? (part that feeds the head of a manifold). It may have taken a while to find this as being the cause of why the car running incorrectly, maybe rough. This means, that during the time the car was being driven with the problem, the amount of unburned, or not within spec exhaust gases, coming off the side of the engine affected by the intake issue was higher than normal. This out of balance level of exhaust gases were being dumped into the converter on that side of the engine, thus causing the converter to have to run hotter, work harder, or even at the time the gas was being processed through, causing deposits to be formed in the converter, thus shortening it's life span. The Bank 1 side of the engine, apparently, did not have the issue and it's catalytic converter's life was not affected. I hope this makes sense to you.

I suspect you have had an oil pump failure. To get at the rotory gear oil pump you will have to drop the oil pan. After you take the pan off, ( having drained the oil the oil pump is what the oil pick up line leads into. That pick up assy. is a round shaped disc with a screen inside it. Clean the screen first then the oil pump. Install new oil pan gasket on reassembly. Hope that helps you. Please let me know.

Hopefully the engine was not damaged when the pump broke. If it was you may need a complete engine rebuild, MAYBE.

MY 6L V8 makes a loud knocking noise only when it first starts for only about 30 seconds then you never hear any more knocking for the rest of the day Is this a valve problem?

In some oil filters they have anti drain back valves in them, what keeps oil in the filter when sitting for a long time. this helps get oil to ur top end quicker. If not i takes longer to get oil to ur rocker arms so you might hear a knocking or ticking for a while. Try when u do ur next oil change to get a filter it a anti drain back valve and that should help make that noise go away quicker.

98 Olds Aurora V8 gives me an in-dash and audible low oil pressure warning. Engine running normal, there is no tapping and the oil level is where it should be. Oil needs changed according to indicator, but...

check for the oil pressure sending unit. i'm not sure where on the engine this sensor is on your vehicle, but look for a single wire sensor somewhere on the side of the block. hopefully, there'll be a bit of oil dripping from it, because it's a fairly cheap part and easy to replace. otherwise, you may actually have low pressure from a clogged pump pick tube or bad pump.

Oil pressure gauge on my 2000 jeep is on

The most common problem is a bad oil pressure switch on the 99-02 grand cherokee with the 4.7l v8. The part has failed on 90% of all 99-02 grand cherokees I have worked on. The housing is junk, but since it has lasted longer then 36,000 miles the factory would not issue a recall. The oil pressure switch can be purchased at any outlet. but have found the duralast was decent. that being said Go to autozone and get part # PS471 (oil pressure switch for 1999-2002 N code 4.7L V8.) chances are if you encounter the same problem after replacement you will need to drop the oil pan and un clog the oil sump.

To replace the switch, under the hood look for the power steering pump on the driver side of the vehicle, to the right and under the p/s pump is the oil pressure switch, If it is wet, its bad for sure, remember to disconnect the battery before service,as not to harm the gauges.
