Why is it we don't have XM feature on our car radio?

Sirius XM is a subscription service. You may have had a few months service courtesy of Ford with the purchase, but you need to pay to keep getting it. Visit their web site at www.siriusxm.com.

Without knowing what year make and model of vehicle you have, it makes it kind of hard to answer for certain. But it sounds as if you are on a satellite service as the source and it is requesting your subscription information. Serviced like Sirius and XM radio is often offered as a demo with new vehicle purchase, but require a paid subscription for continued service.
