I want to replace the relay for the headlight on my SUV. I have highbeam, turn, running lights, and my fog lights work. No low beam. Was told it was a relay. But I can't find the location.
Follow wires from headlight back toward firewall. Along the way you should run into the diming relay. It can get stuck on high beam or low beam. usually with "welded" points. Some can be rebuilt by talented DIY. But a new one is probably the easiest. Bad connections may contribute, including connection to the body's ground. Corrosion does funny things. Bright metal contacts and connections are the best.
Low beams would be through the dimmer switch on the column. If your relay was bad you would have neither low or high beams.
