There should be a petcock on the bottom of the radiator. If not, remove the lower hose, and this will drain the coolant. You may not need to drain it, as I usually don't when I do them. You will lose a little out of the hoses, but it is up to you.

SOURCE: Nissan Tiida overheated & the engine block is allumminium. What needs to be done?

check to make sure there's no antifreeze in your oil and then I would restarted I would remove I believe the thermostat tatted up and run it without the thermostat in it adds more coolant to it so is not going to overheat again but most likely is probably because of the.themostat.
