Depends on miles per gallon of vehicle. Average mpg of say 15 mpg would take 15 gallons to travel 225 miles.(15x15=225). At $2.29 per gallon @15 gallons=$34.35. So figure out mpg of your vehicle and do the math.

Good question and in order to equate a good answer one would need to know how many miles per gallon the vehicle can travel at its optimum driving speed and rpm.so if it can go 50 mpg miles on one gallon approx answer is 10.28 dollars. If it's 40 mpg then 12.82 dollars.hope that was helpful....please vote.thanks.

There is no way to tell without knowing the mpg your vehicle gets.

Depends on what you are driving and the fuel consumption of that vehicle. At around 22 MPG you will spend approximately $23.00.

SOURCE: High gas usage

I was just listening to Car Talk on NPR (Click & Clack) talking about this exact thing in response to a callers complaint about poor mileage. Their advise was to: a. check the compression and b. check the thermostat.
With your 2001 being 7 years old your mileage is probably under 100,000 so your compression is probably OK. If you do check it the good compression should be about 150 PSI; if it's down around 100 PSI that could account for the poor mileage.
As for the thermostat if your engine temperature doesn't get un into the normal range fairly soon, the computer thinks the engine is cold and adjusts the choke accordingly which uses more gas

Hope this helps Good Luck Loringh

SOURCE: I have a 1997 ford f-250 4x4 and its lousy on gas

You could fill the tires with Nitrogen but it will cost about $15 a tire. You will gain 1.5 - 2 miles more a gallon. Big trucks were made for pulling and hualing only. If your looking at gas mileage then you need a focus.

SOURCE: toyota 78 poor gas mileage

Please key check the crankshaft position sensor and the ignition coil, when the crankshaft position sensor failure will lead to the engine ignition time too early or too late, when the high voltage ignition coil fault is that the ignition is too weak, these two problems can lead to the lack of engine power and adverse symptoms such as waste oil, and in the two components without completely damaged, computer fault, it will be very hard to check especially the crankshaft position sensor.auto diagnostic tool.

Find the total miles to drive. Divide by 15 (your mileage) That will give you the approximate amount of gallons of gas you will use. Then times that by the average amount you think you will pay for a gallon of gas.

After getting gasoline, it increases wrong mileage with camry 2003

One tank of gas is not enough to compare mileage. Or are you saying the computer's readout of mpg estimate is showing less? Try a tank or two of premium and see if that helps. Keep track of gas mileage. Driving techniques have a lot to do with gas mileage, as does long trips vs. short trips, highway cruising vs. city driving. For best mileage, do regular maintenance and keep the car in top running condition-good spark plugs and clean filters and clean oil ! Attend to minor problems before they escalate.
If you want to check actual miles per gallon, start with a full tank. Write the odometer reading down, and go. Everytime you put gas in, write down the amount. When you are close to 1,000 miles from the time you started, go fill the tank and include that amount of gas to your previous list. Now add up all the gas used and divide it into the miles to get miles per gallon. (976 miles/31.8 gallons = 30.69 mpg ) . Only one tank will skew your numbers, might be off cause the tank was filled more to the top than the previous fill-up. About a thousand miles of driving will give you a very accurate figure of miles per gallon for your car.

I HAVE A 2003 GMC ENVOY. I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY MILES CAN I DRIVE BEFORE THE GAS RUNS OUT ON A FULL TANK?

there is a book publish by the govnt or minister of transport on the exact milage as well if you know how many liters or gallons go in your tank like 80 liters and the gas is 1.00 a liter it cost $80 for 80 liters on a full tank you do 500 km but make sure proper conditions of 100km a hour tires all proper equal pressure the wind is also a facture there is a lot involved to calculate your gas proformance as well if you had a oil change done latly you can find out on a govt site for gas consuption or consumers report

I bought a used 2003 A4 Convertible Audi 3.0 Feels it burns more gas than expected. Is there anything I can check or do to reduce that. Thanks Sean

to see what you get for mileage, take it to a gas station and fill it till the pump stops and reset your trip meter. Drive it around like you normally would to work or whatever till the tank is almost empty and go fill it up again till the pump stops. Its best to go to the same pump you used before. Once it is full look to see how many gallons or liters you put in(This is how many you used since the last time you filled up). Take the number of miles/kilometers from your trip meter(the number of miles/kilometers you drove since you last filled up) and divide it by the gallons/liters you used and you will get your miles/kilometers per gallon/liter. Compare this with the rating your vehicle is suppose to get. But remember it can very depending on how you drive.

How many miles per gallon does my pontiac get?

Fill the gas tank till the filler nozzle clicks

Zero the trip meter

Drive the car for say 100 miles

Fill up the tank again until the nozzle goes click again

Take a note of the number of gallons you put in divide that number into 100

So 5 gallons divided into 100 will tell you that the car is doing 20 mpg

if you have added 4 Gallons and 3 pints then divide the 100 by 4.40 which gives you 22.73mpg
