Honda had a twin carby and fuel injected models in 1987. Check or change the fuel filter and check the accelerator cable is not binding on the carby model. If fuel injected check the throttle position switch, fuel pressure and flow.

Best would be to check the oil pump filter in the sump of the engine. these also clog up and drops the oil pressure resulting in a warning light

What gear oil does my 1987 honda prelude 2.0 si take?

for an 87 I can imagine that you are probably running it at between 175K-350K miles so you should be getting

My honda bogs down, then pick back up, consistently

Hopefully the fuel filter. If you floor it and it has a delay or it won't reach high RPMs it's most likely the cause.

The tachometer on my 92 Honda Prelude Si works but the factory speedometer isn't whatsoever.

Its probably your speed sensor mounted on the back side of your transmission on top of the final drive gear. Its the sensor/plug located just under the shift linkage. Make sure its bolted down tight and check for any loose connections.

Honda Prelude Si Alternator AWOL

it sounds like you want a "power probe" . It's the best way to test continuity. A little pricey, though.
