You have to drop your gas tank down to get at it, as it's located inside the tank, on the top.

How do I replace the fuel pump on an 01 Pontiac Aztec?

Not easy. Fuel pump is inside gas tank. Some cars have a panel in the floor above the gas tank to allow access, but I think yours does not. If not, you must drop the tank.

Locate the fuel filter for 2001 pontiac aztec

Its in the tank. The factory's new theory. The filter is before the fuel pump and doesn't need to be changed. Stupid if you ask me.
