please state if its a auto or a manual ,need this information to tell you what to check but firstly check the front pulley and the rubber join in the middle take the fan belt off to do this
the most common oil leak on the m5 and m6 is the vanos high pressure line located on the front of the engine in fact this is the only area in which i have seen a leak on this car in the shop
