It means this P0420, make appointment for service, should come out like this code but if you out of service do this remove BCM (Body control module), PCM, ECM tcm FUSEs, waited 30 mins, the reconnect them and put battery back on, or if you don't want to do that take the battery off, then go inside the car and turn the ignition on and the lights and anything ells you can turn on. they won't work but they will drain the voltage stored in them, leave like this for 15-40 min and then reconnect the battery should be back to normal. but turn every thing off again before putting the battery back on.

There is a problem with the thermostat gaskets. Often times they leak and allow cars to overheat. Check under your car and make sure that there is no coolant leaking. MINI has updated the gasket so if you get your car serviced at a mini dealer then your gasket will be updated. There is not a bulletin or recall for this replacement this would be at your cost.

SOURCE: Mini Cooper P1689 code
P1689 - No communication between ECM & Injection Pump Module. This is why it's a hard start and the peddle isn't acting like it should. There's a problem where the (Computer) ECM, isn't making contact with the Injection Pump module. So the computer doesn't know what the pump is doing or sending. Could be a cut in the wires, corrosion, etc.. So many things it could be, fuel pressure is low.
SOURCE: error code on 2008 mini cooper s of CCID 031 what
Hi. Error CCID 031 means increased emissions. You need to refer to yuor card dealer and have this ting replace. DTML - It is a little pump/sensor that measures fuel vapor emissions from fuel system. If your gas cap seal is faulty or you have any fuel system pressure leak this pump runs to maintain pressure in the system. Normally it is not supposed to run. When it runs it sets of the Check Engine light.
