from what you are saying with out me checking it, the mass air flow meter is bad it is located in the air induct hose{the ********* hose going to the air filter} has a plug on it and attached to the flex air intake hose with clamps now a trick I learded first is crank car let idle take a wrench and tap the air flow meter and see if it dies or runs rough if so change the air flow sensor Good Luck MIke L.
first thing i would check is to make sure air intake hose between Mass air flow sensor and intake doesn't have any cracks holes make sure clamps are tight
secondly check for vacuum leaks carb cleaner works great for this spray around intake gaskets throttle body fuel injectorsvacuum lines when spraying u notice change in idle (if idle picks up or stubles) that where your problem is example you spray around intake gasket and idle picks up you have bad intake gasket
third thing is to try and clean the mass air flow sensor they make special cleaner for this (u can use carb cleaner for this but it can leave residue on sensor and damage it so it not recomended)
my best guess for you with all three o codes is you have a vacuum leak somewhere
First of all, I am not convinced the air mass sensor is defective. I am not experienced with that particular car, but with Bosch injection in general, and I believe you should be reading ohms in a dead system, not volts in a live system. I believe the resistance should vary with air flow, or there should be pulses with movement of a flap.
But yes, if the one you have used to work, then it is probably fine. Getting a newer one is likely to be backward compatible, as long as the harness is the same. It is only getting an older one that is risky.
don't drive the car without air flow meter connected because the air
flow meter signal very impotent for fuel mixture in combustion chamber,
in your car faulty air flow meter replace air flow meter, is this
information helped you?
You MUST have the air flow meter installed on your vehicle. The car will not run if you remove it. The Air Flow Meter measures the amount of air coming into the engine, and also the air temperature. This information is sent to the fuel injection computer, to determine the proper fuel to be injected. In reality, cars with "air-flow meters" do not really "benefit" from a cold air intake, due to the inherent restriction that the air flow meter causes, as it measures the air.
In short, I would not install the intake, you won't see much benefit. The graciousness of a FixYa rating for my assistance would be greatly appreciated..
