How do I replace the bulb behind my fan speed switch for a 2003 Tacoma?

There are three screws that you have to take out. When you get them out you have to pull the whole unit out of the dash and pull apart the back of the unit which does have about 4 tabs then you can just unscrew the bulbs and replace

You must remove the dash control to access the bulb.

The control panel is held in by 4 clips, one at each corner. You need a long, flat tool, preferably hard nylon, insert it at the bottom corners & pry backwards, ther clips will release, and you then pull the top towards you to release the 2 top clips. The bulbs are on the back of the control assembly. Don't use a screwdriver, it will damage the material around the panel.

OK, I just fixed mine. The unit pulls out. You have to get a screwdiriver, wrap it with a cloth so it doesn't scratch the paint, then gently wedge the entire unit out. When it pops out, you'll see the clips that keep it in place. You might think its breaking when you pull it out, but trust me this is how you do. Just be gentle with it. After you get the unit out, simply take the socket out and replace the bulb. I did it in five minutes.

2003 Toyota Tacoma PU. Blower fan on all the time wont turn off.

Switch is defective. Remove the switch from its connector and see if it stops. If it stops them switch is the problem. If it doesn't than you have a short inj the circuit.

My blower motor fan speed switch will work only on High.

I had a similar problem with my 03 Taurus. Does your floorboard on the passenger side get wet when it rains really hard? If so, Ford is aware of a defect above the fan motor which is behind the glovebox.
I contacted Ford directly and they had my local ford dealer fix it free and they gave me money towards a new blower motor which shorted out from the leak, it's possible it just your switch if there is no leak but you might need both the switch and blower motor replaced like I did. Hope this helps.

Fan or heater switches bulb gone

Apparently, this problem you are experiencing is quite common in VW MK4 Golfs, it's not the bulb but the lighting connection behind your switch. If you bang the right hand side sides your gan controls your fan lights should appear again. Sounds crazy but it's true. I know few people with VW Golf who have this problem.
