Did you install a new pump? Used pumps may be cheaper but not if you have to change them.

Feul pump

Sounds like vapor lock. Leave the cap from the gas lid undone for a little while.

Cranks but wont start

Someone will need to check the circuit at the pump to see if it is getting power from the relay. If it is the pump should be running when you first turn the key on.
You can also check for power at the pump relay.

I have a 1993 Chevy 1500 Silverado 5.7 worked. I changed the feul pump and feul filter. When you turn the ignition to the on position you do not hear the feul pump engage and there is no feul pressure at...

Yes, it can be the relay. What I do is unplug the relay and swap it gor yhe horn relay. If this doesn't work, I use a volt/ohmmeter to probe the relay socket. Doing this, I can usually find the problem. With the key on , there should be two terminals in the socket that have battery voltage and one that is grounded. The last terminal goes to the pump and should show low ohms to ground. In your truck, the relay coil is connected to ground and turned on by the ecm with a positive signal. It also seems to depend on the oil pressure switch, so you might want to temporarily bypass the switch with a paper clip in the connector to see if that is keeeping the pump from running.

My 2003 chevy silverondo feul pump stops working . have changed feul pump worked good for week and started doing it again. will start up again but who knows when

Did you replace the wire harness from the new sending unit to the frame??the old one tends to break when moved around causing issues and also inspect the ground wire also to ensure that it's still has a great ground on the frame from the harness.

The other thing also is that you may want to replace the fuel pump relay just to make sure it's now faulty. Just swap it out with another relay in the relay box.

Good luck and keep us posted.

If you turn on the key, and hear the sound of the pump for a few sec then stop before turning the key to ignition position, then fuel pump is still working. However, you need some one hear the pump running while you starting the car. The pump is located below the rear seat on passenger side. If no sound heard while you start then there is a problem with the Fuel relay switch behind the battery and firewall. If there is sound from the pump then the car needs to have fuel delivery rate checked and fuel filter for possible replacement.
