Prius 2002 red triangle on after went off but no problems during traveling

The red triangle is the Master Warning light may also be referred to as hybrid system erro warning light. You must have had an intermit problem with the battery system for the light to come on and go off. You should take the car to a shop or dealer that works on them systems to see if it stored a code so you will have an idea what is wrong and weather it is important to have it fixed. Intermit problems are often had to find so if it's not something that not going to leave you stranded it might be cheaper to wait till the light stays on all the time.inter

Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
Removal Procedure
On vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, remove the shift lever.
On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, perform the following
steps:
2.1. Apply the park brake.
2.2. Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to the RUN
position.
2.3. Depress the brake pedal and shift the transmission to the 1
position.
2.4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in
the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before
servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to
prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an
exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in
personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
For Vehicles equipped with OnStar® (UE1) with Back Up Battery:
The Back Up Battery is a redundant power supply to allow limited OnStar®
functionality in the event of a main vehicle battery power disruption to the
VCIM (OnStar®module). Do not disconnect the main vehicle battery or remove the
OnStar® fuse with the ignition key in any position other than OFF. Retained
accessory power (RAP) should be allowed to time out or be disabled (simply
opening the driver door should disable RAP) before disconnecting power.
Disconnecting power to the OnStar® module in any way while the ignition is On
or with RAP activated may cause activation of the OnStar® Back-Up Battery
(BUB) system and will discharge and permanently damage the back-up battery.
Once the Back-Up Battery is activated it will stay on until it has completely
discharged. The BUB is not rechargeable and once activated the BUB must be
replaced.
Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel
Replacement - Left Side .

If equipped with a sun load temperature sensor, twist the sensor ¼ turn
counterclockwise in order to disengage.
Disconnect the brown electrical connection from the body control module (BCM).
Disconnect the purple electrical connection from the body control module
(BCM).
Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
Remove and retain the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster
Replacement .
Remove and retain the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
Remove the HVAC control assembly. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
• Control Assembly Replacement in Heating and Ventilation (Non-A/C)
• Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC Systems with A/C - Manual
• Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC Systems with A/C - Automatic
Caution: This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint
(SIR) System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause the
following conditions:
• Air bag deployment
• Personal injury
• Unnecessary SIR system repairs
In order to avoid the above conditions, observe the following guidelines:
• Refer to SIR Component Views in order to determine if you are
performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring.
• If you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the
SIR wiring, disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
Disable the passenger side SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in
SIR.

Remove the left and right instrument panel driver knee bolster brackets.
Lower the steering column for clearance. Refer to Steering Column Replacement
in Steering Wheel and Column.

What does it mean when a waning sign comes up with a picture of a car & an explaination mark? and also a triangle with an explaination mark, both at the same time??

The Prius has electric power steering. The "PS" in a rectangle means that the computer has detected a problem there. The red triangle with an explanation mark means that the computer has detected a problem with the Hybrid System. Usually it is accompanied by red symbol of an automobile. In any case you should take the car to a dealer who can read the diagnostic codes from the computer and determine the cause of the problem.
