Injectors do make quite a racket but mostly they are so well insulated they can't be heard inside the car and in the engine compartment the noise just becomes part of the general engine noise.
I have noticed a few cars where the use of semi-rigid (nylon) fuel supply and return pipes transmit the noise to the bulkhead/firewall which magnifies the sound.
Most engines now use hydraulic lifters and they can leak a little, this causes space between then lifter and the push rod. This results in a tapping noise that goes away when they get warm or fill back up.

One of my vehicles started making a rather disturbing sound so I went to investigate and to hopefully fix it.
Drain oil and install correct amount, sounds like a lifter noise clicking sound not to loud just a steaddy tick, when you rev up gits faster right.....
If the tapping noise speeds up with the speed of the engine, it's a worn valve lifter.
If the service light is on, change oil and filter, if tapping is still there, the lifter is the culprit.
Not sure what you mean about a flash sequence. If there is a tapping noise, check your oil level and quality. When oil is low, the valve timing solenoid can not function properly as it runs on oil pressure. This will cause your tick noise. If your engine is burning oil the catalyst may be at fault. They break up and enter the engine through the exhaust valve and damage the cylinder.
the tapping are the lifts tapping because there is no oil getting to the top of the motor. the blue smoke is the oil burning.could be the head gasket is going bad or the piston rings are done in.
