Poor Braking power- new cylinder-new lines new ABS module -bled

I replaced everyting on my 1999 Sierra brake system - Cylinder, new lines, ABS module. The brakes work but I can't get good braking power - even when ABS fuse pulled I can't lock up wheels if needed even with 2 feet on pedal.

I have ran into this problem , but on earlier gm products---check the local dealership or a well known mechanic shop that has all data and check for bullitains. what i had found out was there was some trucks that gm had installed the wrong power booster . not saying your booster is to blame, but may be a great place to look seeing you replaced abs modules ,master cylinder ect---hope that helped out!!

My 2000 Grand Prix the brake pedal just went to the floor. What is wrong :(

It could be that your brake fluid reservoir is empty. You might also have a crack in the line.

Abs brake system

Best case scenario bad vacuum pressure to the brake booster. Worst case bad abs control module or valve body/motor the abs system works by add and removing hydraulic pressure through valves and electric motor. Try using block off plugs at the master cylinder( remove lines plug outlets at master cylinder) check if brake pedal position and pressure is good(if there is no change problem is master cylinder or brake booster/ vacuum) if plugging at master cylinder solved issue repeat procedure at abs valve body after reinstalling lines from master cylinder if your problem returns your issue is in the abs valve body if plugging at the abs solves problem reconnect at the valve body bleed each line one by one testing between each line until you find the problem

Hello sir.. i am bleeding the brakes in my 99 gmc sierra, i have replaced all the brake lines minus the two lines in the rear that route to a t, now from past this all the lines are new, everythings tight,...

U need a special tool that holds the poppet valves open in the ABS hydraulic control unit to bleed the brakes of air, without it u CAN'T get the air out of the system.

Drivers side rear brake locks up on severe braking, then releases and I have no brakes

If you are dealing with ABS brakes you probably have a bad wheel cylinder on that wheel and air in the line. Replace the wheel cylinder and bleed the system.

Bad brakes on gmc suburban, replaced master cylinder, rear wheel cylinder and abs control module, bled system, still have spongy brakes and ABS come on right before it gets stopped.

Gravity bleed your brakes starting at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder. No pweddle pumping. I Fill M/C and leave cover off. Then open the bleeder and watch what is coming out. Uou can see bubbles. When the fluid drips steady and without bubbles, cole and do the same to the other three. Don't let the master cykinder get low because thr fluid level helps move the fluid and air through the lines.Periodically tap the break lone with your wrench to keep everything moving.. When sll bleeders drip clean and steady. Make sore your rear brakes are adjusted to barely touch the drum. Then top off the master cylinder, cap it and give yourself a "break". :)

Can i swap the Brake master cylinder over without "reprogramming"

honestly sound more like the abs unit, it is the alloy box that the brake lines go into from your master cylinder, this will cause directional braking and awkward braking and DANGEROUS braking, it is more than likely the abs junction box and no the computer will not need program, just disconnect battery for 15 mins while doing the work. hope this has been helpfull
