Clean your throttle body for starters. When this is filthy, and it will be filthy, the throttle body will learn some bad habits. So the engine will go into a safe mode "reduced power". Clean the TB with TB cleaner with the battery disconnected, must be nice and shiny front and back. When finished, connect the battery back up and drive around for 20 minutes or so with all accessories off. This way the computer will re-learn a newly cleaned, properly functioning throtte body. This seams to be the main culprit with this problem. Hope this helps!

Go to www.autozone.com an sign up then click on repair info.
U need to reset security system (pass lock II). Turn key to on right b4 cranking but don't start and let security light flash for about 10-12 mins until it stops and then turn key back off, repeat procedure two more times don't actually turn key far enough to start during first two 10-12 min cycles, third cycle though after flashing stops turn the rest of the way forward for it to start. This should then reset security and solve problem sometimes only takes two cycles to reset. Good luck, hope this is helpful & solves problem.

Hi QUNDELL ATKINS, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details like what engine your envoy has in it, and when the condition happens? Is it only when its hot or cold or all the time? Is it under hard, light, or normal acceleration? Does it maybe seem to only happen on the highway or up hills? Has any work been done to the truck recently that may have caused this condition? Please post a reply in the comment box.
