What causes power train malfunction?

If your vehicle seems to be running fine but picks up speed slowly, check to see if you have a check engine light. Having that light can point you in the direction of the problem. Also check to see if you have a bad catalytic converter which can clog your exhaust causing back pressure to the engine and cause your vehicle to pick up speed slowly or feel like it has no power. Don't think about the "sync", replace the EGR valve and you'll be fine. The Exhaust Recirculation Valve (EGR) malfunctioning causes your problem.

If manual transmission the clutch wants adjustment or is worn out. If automatic transmission low on fluid or bands need adjustment.

Cylinder misfires at idle that are not very noticeable under load or higher speeds are usually caused by vacuum leaks (most common) or low compression on one or more cylinders. Fuel control system malfunctions can also cause this, but it will take a trained technician that can analyze the computer input and output data to determine the actual cause if this is the case. Please note that when I say "analyze data" I DO NOT mean simply hooking up a generic OBD code reader and pulling fault codes.

Hi Buckbird, Take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. The signal means that he on board diagnostics have picked up a fault! Maybe the transmission oil is low. Reduce speed advises you to get to your dealer or diagnostic center at a low gentle speed. Regards Johngee10

Hesitation is usually caused by a dirty throttle body or a bad Throttle Position Sensor. I would try cleaning the throttle body first.

all that conjoins the the cars main computer for the power train. it is advisable to have this repaired at a dealer
