From the deep pits of fixya 2009 DB
comes a piggyback.
james (Australia , to USA?)
to a usa forum. that has no holdens.
for sure no HOLDEN RODEOS
but the answer is easy
ive no idea what holden uses in there cars for transmissions.
it has side plate with name and model and serial.
what sits behind the TD diesel?
id bet not a gas engine trans,
usually the excess torque from same runs a very unique transmission, and TCM
after all it shifts at different RPMs and loads
on planetIsuzoo.com
they said its a jatco jr405e.
and that nobody here (USA) knows what that is.
we dont have this car here. nor there.
why not post to Australian forums. would not that help?/ (or where every you are,.../????????)_
deed deep scans,
i find this, ,(that code is rare , btw)
P1875 Indicates that the GEM has encountered a fault in the drive shaft speed sensor
so clean it or replace it.
very rare car and code.
(means rare using USA google searches, our data bases)
the Rover pages show that same sensor stuck high.
5vdc.
this measure tail shaft RPM called VSS
veh, speed sensor
if it cant see speed, it can NOT shift (auto)
if I had this car,(would never)
I'd buy the REAL shop manual.(from maker)
and read it. it covers this and the tests to find TRUE CAUSE.
lacking books, guess and change it out.
or get the car fixed
there 3 solutions,
yes, the lamp means scan me.
you didnt so you work blind.

Having the same trouble in a 03 TD rodeo. Code reads p1875
start your own post like this.... and be win/win.
1: country OP is not in USA we are USA forum.
2: the post engine there, cylinder count, displacement, and yes, TD turbo diesel
2003 year.
RODEO, Isuzu or HOlden?
3:then post symptoms
and DTCs all of them not just one if many.
that P1 means factory code and only for diesel
like that, and win.
James we dont have TD here. then
learn what it there first then post.with country. non usa list of TD
2.5 L 4JA1 diesel I4 (Cameo, TH)
2.8 L 4JB1-T turbo diesel I4
3.0 L 4JH1-T turbo diesel I4
3.1 L 4JG2 turbo diesel I4
not only that different countries run different injection systems. by law.
btw we dont have these cars no those engines
here in USA<
good luck finding help from downunder, to here
then to you downunder.
"as in the song from a land down under"
a 26,000 Km round trip question, wow.!
we are Zero Holden.
unless playing Texas holdem. close...
all modern cars with an automatic trans
about 1995 is average, the transmission can be electronically shifted,
on ours, (USA) the 4L30E , GM made.
is electronic auto shifted (E), using 2 or 3 solenoids, and has a TCM brain.
later thIS brain was merged into the ECU brain and renamed PCM. (faster processor magic)
some diesels have still have a seperate TCM .
if you open your service manual from your dealer in your country all this is stated
in clear English.
be that in HOLDEN land or USA. or where-ever
why piggly back
cars vary the world over
please start your own post
then say what country first.
be like the 6 out of 1million that did.
and make it a win/win
we win because we dont have to guess any of that. and tell you wrong, you win.
jatco jr405e. box. down under/, ok.
with that one fact, (jr405e) you can google all day on that.
or buy the book on your car and read.
or get it serviced
or clean the hall sensor there.
be nice to tell country no?
and then tell what transmission is there
nobody on this USA forum can do that.
only you.
why is telling your country such a bother.
paranoia,. what? , lazy, or ????
try to learn,something:
all cars are not the same
cars in different countries are never the same.
learn it for fail !
get wrong answers
or worse, guessing !!!
that would make it a win/win.
you want free advice, there it is...
