How to remove backseat of 1990 Buck Skylark - Cars & Trucks

On your cooling system you are going to have 2 hoses the upper hose on the top of the radiator and a return hose that's on the bottom of the radiator.If you follow the upper hose it should be connected to a small housing that the hose is connected to.Remove the hose and housing which will expose the thermostat.

try the rotor under the distributer cap, remove cap , remove rotor cap and replace, also note if it has black sooty marks on center cap known for fouling.

VECHICLE WITHOUT AC YOU REMOVE THE RIGHT FRONT INNER FENDER PANEL. REMOVE THE NUTS AND SCREWS SECURING THE BLOWER AND AIR INLET ASSEMBLY TO THE COWL.THEN YOU CAN REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY. VECHICLE WITH AC YOU SUPPORT THE HOOD AND REMOVE THE EXTENSION AND PLATE ASSEMBLY FROM THE HOOD HINGE.THEN REMOVE THE HEATER BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY FROM THE FIREWALL..

at the end of the positive battery wire.

remove the two bolts, pull out and replace.

I have a 1990 with the same problem and the solution is quite easy but delicate at the same time.
The outside of the speaker has a "snap on" and thus carefully pry off "cover".
Once off you can easily see the screws which hold the actual speaker in place.
Speaker wire clips are easy to undo. Very simple R & R once the cover is off.
Be careful when you snap the cover back into place.
