White smoke is also coming from tailpipe, but there is no water coming out and I am not using any coolant and there are no other signs of a blown head gasket. It stalls every single time I come to a stop also.
White smoke is water vapor and in this cold climate it is normal. Strong gas smell is not normal although you may smell some while engine is warming up. Bad cat converter can produce smells, but usually more like rotten eggs. If engine is running rough and seems rich, check coolant temp sensor. Bad converter can cause stalling too. Otherwise, idle speed is controlled by idle air contol motor which can get dirty and stick. Any codes set?

SOURCE: Smoking out of the tailpipes
it could mean a bad oxygen sensor or intake gaskets and here is place that maybe of help also: Schram auto and truck parts 1-800-292-1032 they sell only GM parts
SOURCE: blown head gasket
Look the engine over and see if you can find any external leaks, change the thermostat and make sure that fan(s) are operating.
Check the oil for water...loosing that much, it has to show up somewhere. Blown headgasket usually puts oil in coolant or coolant in oil, causes an external leak from between head and block or goes out through the tailpipe as steam.
look carefully and you will find your problem!!
SOURCE: white smoke and a smell of fuel
The white smoke is from anti freeze. The smell of gas in your oil is probably from the same cause. I do beleive you did not clean the milled ares good enough before installing one or both of your gaskets. Just in case you did loosen one of the head bolts up for any reason....One bolt I do beleive on the right front bank of this engine has to be also sealed before re enstalling it for coolant will pass through it if not sealed
SOURCE: what are some signs that a head gasket has been
YES IT IS. ALSO ENGINE COULD RUN ROUGH, AND A NEED TO KEEP ADDING WATER. HAVE A BLOCK TEST DONE, IF WITH BLOCK TEST TURN YELLOW EXHAUST FUMES IN COOLING SYSTEM 99% OF THE TIME BLOWN HEAD GASKET.
