What do I do to remove the old number plates off my 2008 bmw320i E90 to fit with new plates

Different manufacturers produce clutches that vary in detail so there is no hard and fast rule and most clutch driven plates are marked "flywheel side". Those that are not marked there is either fitting information included in the packaging or fitting details appear in the repair manual.

Often the recess in the flywheel isn't deep enough to accommodate the cushioned drive hub of the clutch plate and so it is obvious which way around it must be fitted.

If you have the old clutch plate, the side with the most wear is usually the pressure plate or cover side...

Changing vin by self is illegal if thats what your doing
If its door plates or firewall plates dealer has to order new and you have to take down to mvd and register numbers
If license plate unscrew it
But overall changing any of the cars factory registered plates is illegal without registering them threw proper channels first

Normally these are simply screwed to the vehicle bodywork with either 2 or 4 screws. It is just a matter of locating the screws and removing them using a basic screw driver with the correct head (either flat head driver or Phillips Head driver if PH screws have been used). If the screws are hidden from view and access because someone has fitted a set of fancy number plate covers to your plates you will have to remove the number plate covers first.

check the fob on the key have it read to make sure its not damaged. key has a chip code in it and it its damaged or come off the ignition barrel reader will not read it and the engine will not start. if the key when checked then would check the reader. make sure its working. most key cutting place's will check your key for free.

Firstly, open it up, remove all wiring, any light lenses which you need to switch over, lock, inner lining, number plate brackets, lights, etc.

Then, once everything has been removed, undo the bolts which hold the lid to it's hinges, and take the lid off.

Reverse the procedure for fitting the new lid.

Close the new lid gently at first as it may not locate well on the first attempt.
If it's all askew, then slacken off the hinge bolts and position the lid to how it closes well. Once in the correct position, tighten the hinge bolts, and you're almost done.

Final step: Run some water over the lid for a while and then open it up to check for any leaks.
If you do have any leaks, then as extreme as it sounds, climb in, close the lid and have someone run water over the lid, while you lie inside with a flashlight/torch and look for leaks.

Wondering if you compared the thickness of the new pressure plate flange to the old one.If the metal is thinner than the original,maybe the bolts are just bottoming out.If this is the case,you can probably get shorter bolts,trim the originals,or use a fat washer.Just make sure you allow more than just enough,as you don't want them to bottom out at the point where the flange looks seated.

yes because the cluch and pressure plate need to come off around the gear that fits into the transmission.

It sounds to me like you needed to have your coolant level senor changed. If you didn't get this changed then thats your first stop, this is a common problem.

there is an actual liscence plate bracket u can buy at a chrysler dealership thats fits perfectly on bumber it has teeth that perfectly center the bracket right below the grill it looks great i just had one put one on my 2005 300
