I have a 2003 Buick lesabre which starts and tunsbbut periodically it stalls while driving it sometimes starts back up some times doesn't but the mechanics can't figure out what's wrong with it I think it is a fuel switch or relay we have put a new fuel pump and filter in it and it still does it

Well mike the mechanic you use must not be very good ! Did he test fuel pressure ? This has no fuel switch but there is a relay an it is turned on by the PCM - powertrain control module ! When it won't start you need to find out what is missing Spark or fuel an go from there ! I will send a link for a youtube video on how to test this ! You could also test the fuel pump circuit at the relay in the under hood fuse/ relay junction block ! With a volt ohm meter test the relay socket , Two pin's should have batt. + one should have ground an the other should show open . that is the one from the PCM . I sincerely believe there are about a half dozen things that
can cause what you are describing... My most Vexing was
a floppy muffler baffle that kept plugging my exhaust
(pre TROUBLE codes (1975 Ranchero in 1980)).
I understand now... a bunch of trouble codes would
be showing... If you get them read at AUTOZONE
avoid the TOTALLY UNNECESSARY purchase of
OXYGEN SENSORS... They mostly REPORT the bad
news... (in my opinion

Bent your rods. Water doesn't compress.

Pull crank sensor and look for cracks.The cracks allow oil in and short the sensor out.

We recently worked on a buick century with the same problem. we replaced the spark plugs and made sure the spark plug wires where on their tight and it ran like new. i hope this helps. BE CAREFUL AND DRIVE SAFE.

check your body grounds sounds like a lose conection and also check the connection at the starter seloniod!!!

Crank sensor. Next time it shuts off pour or spray some water on it then see if it will crank. If it does replace it.

check the key my sure the programme is still good

alternator is bad and or loose battery cables .
