check oil level low or no oil causes no start so does --your oil sender may have failed --oil sender also has a screen filter which causes low or no pressure =oil pump problem ==the truck wont start or may start and shut off immediately
Did you suddenly loose all oil as well? Once you loose all oil pressure you must shut engine off IMMEDIATLY to prevent major engine damage.. How low is oil now? If very low and you really lost all pressure, engine may be junk.
What are you going by to determine it has low oil pressure ? Instrument cluster gauge , low oil light ? Have you had a mechanical pressure gauge hooked to see what the pressure really is ?
Not uncommon for oil pressure to read @ 80psi when oil is cold an thicker or a heavier weight oil, however, does it fluctuates or simply stays @ 80psi cold or at running temp? if so, its normal, if it stays there and doesn't move, that may a bad guage or sending unit. consider this and get back. I am a mechanic . TH
